A Railway Diary thru Sri Lanka
Sri Lanka has hundreds of kilometres rails sneaking through the country, which were made by the British colonists in the 18th century. That being said, they are pretty old and sometimes in very poor conditions. But still, there are a lot of trains using them. They cannot speed up very fast, but this is the biggest advantage for photographers or anyone who wants to enjoy the amazing scenery. Sometimes they are so slow that it would be possible to jump out of the train when it's still moving as some locals do.
You will pass cliffs, tunnels, tea fields, mountains and rivers. It's definitely a lifetime adventure to go on a train ride with Sri Lanka's railways. With my pictures, I want to share this adventure with you. All the pictures are made out of the train or on the rails, showing the scenery and life on and next to the rails.
Feel free to leave a message, I will appreciate it a lot.
